At My Tiny Home Hub, we’re here to make your tiny home journey simple and stress-free—from booking your home to its final delivery. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare for a smooth process.
The Shipping Journey
Here’s how your home makes its way to you:
Booking: We work with trusted shipping partners to confirm the container type, shipping date, and cost.
Packing: Your tiny home is carefully packed and secured into a shipping container to keep it safe.
Customs Declaration: We handle all the necessary documents to clear your home through customs.
Transport: Your home is shipped by reliable logistics partners to your chosen port of entry. After customs clearance, it’s transported to your final destination.
Unloading: Once it arrives, you’ll need a crane or forklift to safely unload and place your home on its foundation. We recommend trusted providers like Maxim Crane for this step.
Delivery Timeline
Production: Building your tiny home takes about 30 business days.
Shipping: Depending on your location, delivery to the U.S. and your address can take an additional 30-55 business days.
Get Ready for Your Tiny Home Delivery
Congratulations on your new tiny home! To make sure everything goes smoothly, here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you prepare for delivery, setup, and installation.
1. Get Your Space Ready
Before your tiny home arrives, there are a few things to check and prepare:
Permits: Check with your local city or town to make sure you have the right permits for placing a tiny home on your property.
Zoning Rules: Make sure your property is allowed to have a tiny home.
Clear the Area: Clean up and level the space where the tiny home will sit. Make sure the delivery truck can get in and out easily.
This will help make delivery day simple and stress-free!
2. Plan for Unloading and Placement
Your tiny home is heavy, so you’ll need the right tools and people to unload it safely:
Hire the Pros: Find a local company that has a forklift or crane to help move your tiny home into place. They should know how to handle homes like this.
Check for Operators: Make sure the company sends someone trained to use the forklift or crane.
Clear the Path: Remove any obstacles so the delivery truck and equipment can easily get to your site.
Planning ahead will make unloading your tiny home safe and easy!
3. Set Up Your Tiny Home
Once your tiny home is in place, it’s time to get it ready to live in:
Expand and Seal: Gather a team of 6-8 people to help expand and seal your home. Follow the setup instructions carefully to make sure everything fits together perfectly.
Hook Up Utilities:
Electricity & Water: Hire a licensed professional to connect your power and water.
Sewer or Septic: Make sure your home is connected to the sewer or septic system properly.
Test Everything: Once the connections are done, check to make sure the lights, plumbing, heating, and cooling all work.
